Ever since I heard about the web-revival movement on YT, I knew I had to make a neocities account and create a website of my own. I'm old enough to remember the early days of the internet, so it's really cool to finally build a site reminiscent of the ones I trawled through all those years ago! It's also been so much fun going down the neocities rabbithole: there are so many cool sites here! *links to my faves coming soon*
I ditched tiktok, twitter, facebook, etc a good while ago now, because (like pretty much everyone) I hate the corporate-brainrot-ragebait machines they've become. Life on the internet was better when it was self-curated, and that's what this site is! It's my own digital bedroom wall mural! Which, I hope, captures the whimsy of the noughties-era internet.
I'm currently studying an English Literature and Creative Writing degree, so it probably comes as no surprise that I love reading and writing. After quite a few years of arduous mental health recovery I, unfortunately, didn't pursue many creative endeavours. But this past year, I've been making strides to create again. So expect writing in the forms of fiction, fanficiton, media analysis, essays, rants, journal entries, etc! I would also love to get back into drawing/digital art... maybe I'll end up posting some of that on here too.
